The Code of Conduct Tribunal Chairman, Justice Danladi Yakubu Umar, Wednesday approved the itinerant session of the Tribunal at Akwa-Ibom state, for trial of some Senior Public officers who breached the code of conduct ethics.
The itinerant is scheduled to take place on the 6th to 9th of December, 2016 at the State High Court, Uyo, involving 50 public officers, comprising ex-Special Advisers, local government Counselors that served between 2008 to 2009 and two Clerk from Esit and Etim local government areas.
According to a statement issued by Ibraheem AL-Hassan, Head, Press & Public Relations, CCT, “the tribunal’s itinerant session helps to clear up backlogs of cases in the zone within the period of the session.
“It also make legal services at the door step of the defaulters, particularly the low-ranking public officers; it as well serves as a means of publicizing the activities of the Tribunal within the zone, which subsequently strengthen relationship between Code of Conduct Tribunal and the hosting state, whose infrastructure and other logistics would be used for the session.”
