Catholic priests, 17 others killed by herdsmen for mass burial May 22 in Benue

Benue State governor, Samuel Ortom has declared May 22 as work free-day in honour of two catholic priests allegedly killed by Fulani herdsmen in the state.

DAILY POST reports that Rev Fathers, Gor Joseph and Felix were last month killed after suspected herdsmen attacked the village.

Making the announcement via the Twitter handle of the government, Ortom said there will be a mass burial on the same day for the 17 victims of the attack respectively.

“Benue state governor, Samuel Ortom, has just declared Tuesday, May 22, work free day to honour the two catholic priests who were recently killed with 17 worshippers in Mbalom, Gwer East local government area of the state.”
