Everton boss, Marco Silva, has said forward, Alex Iwobi will add more quality to his squad ahead of their Carabao Cup fixture with Lincoln City on Wednesday night.
Silva believes Iwobi’s quality will start to manifest with more training sessions, getting to know his teammates better and creating normal connections.
Iwobi became the most expensive player of Nigerian descent in history following his summer transfer deadline move from Arsenal to Everton in a deal worth £40million.
”The impact not just him [Alex Iwobi] but Moise Kean had in the last game was really important for our team,” Silva was quoted by Liverpool Echo as telling reporters in his pre-match press conference.
He said, “Unfortunately, we didn’t score, but the impact was good and they understood what I expect from them.
“Alex gave us very good things at that moment. I’m 100% sure with more minutes in his legs, having more training sessions, getting to know his teammates better and creating normal connections, we will see his quality.”
The kick-off time for the match is 7:45pm.
