Car veers off Third Mainland Bridge into Lagos Lagoon

Reports reaching us at DailyPost, has it has it that a vehicle, believed to be an SUV car, has fallen off the Third Mainland Bridge in Lagos and plunged into the lagoon.

Sadiq Abdulrahman, the Unit Commander of the Federal Road Safety Commission (FRSC), has confirmed the incident, noting that rescue operations were on the way.

“A private vehicle fell into the water. Rescue people have sighted the vehicle and are trying to pull it out,” Abdulrahman said.

Sources say the incident happened around the Adekunle end of the bridge and a body has been recovered and rushed to a nearby hospital.
