Arsenal have been eliminated from the Capital One Cup by Bradford City. The League Two side won a dramatic penalty shootout victory, after Thomas Vermaelen equalised their 16th minute opener, with a few minutes left to play. However, it was the Gunners’ skipper who missed the crucial kick, as Arsene Wenger’s men bowed out of the League Cup.

Aston Villa also booked a ticket to the semi-finals, after they defeated Norwich City 4-1 at Carrow Road. The Villans had gone behind to a Steve Morison’s goal, but Brett Holman turned the tie around with his equaliser. Weimann, who came on as a substitute, helped himself to brace, before Christian Benteke crashed in a fourth.
