CAF Player of the Year: Enyeama, Oshoala, Oparanozie make final cut

Nigeria goalkeeper Vincent Enyeama, Cote d’Ivoire midfielder Yaya Toure and Gabon forward Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, have emerged as the final three candidates for the CAF Player of the Year 2014.

Ghana’s Asamoah Gyan and Nigeria’s Ahmed Musa were on the original five-man list, before it was whittled down to three on Thursday.

In the women category, two Nigerians – Asisat Oshoala and Desire Oparanozie – will battle Annette Ngo Ndom for the prize.

The winners will be announced at the Glo-CAF Awards Gala scheduled for Thursday, January 8, 2015 in Lagos, Nigeria.
