CAF made their decision public on Wednesday afternoon in Cairo, after the Executive Committee voted for all the bidding countries.

The oil-rich central African country, beat Algeria and Ghana to the hosting rights.

They will also be staging the tournament, five years since they co-hosted the 2012 edition with neighbours Equatorial Guinea.

Gabon had hosted the 2013 French Super Cup match between Paris Saint-Germain and Bordeaux.
