Head coach of Enugu Rangers, Imama Amakapabo, has said his team has a lot of work to do, despite qualifying for the first round of the CAF Champions League.
The Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) champions, progressed on the away goals rule, after playing a 1-1 draw with Jeunesse Sportive de Saoura of Algeria.
“We have qualified for the next round of the Champions League. But we must work harder in all ramifications,” Imama was quoted in a tweet from the official handle of Rangers International on Monday.
Rangers will next face Egyptian giants Zamalek who were last year’s finalists in the first round of the CAF Champions League competition.
Amakapabo however says the immediate focus is on the league.
“We need to now concentrate on our rescheduled matches in the League starting with Lobi Stars on Wednesday,” he added.
Rangers are bottom on the NPFL log with just six points from six games, although they have three outstanding games to be played.
