Enugu Rangers have arrived in Enugu from Egypt, following their 4-1 defeat to Zamalek in the CAF Champions League round of 32 first leg on Sunday.
This was confirmed by the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) champions’ official Twitter handle on Tuesday afternoon.
“Players and officials just returned to Enugu from Cairo. The second leg is this Sunday at the Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium,” the tweet read.
Rangers must beat Zamalek with three unreplied goals at the Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium, if they are to qualify for the money-spinning group stages of the competition.
The second leg will be hosted between March 17 and 19.
Head coach of Zamalek, Mohamed Helmy, has insisted they have not qualified for the next round despite the big lead.
