Enugu Rangers International FC on Sunday began their CAF Champions League on an impressive note by gaining maximum points over Sporting Club Do Principe of Sao Tome and Principle.
The Sao Tome team failed to show up for the first leg match, giving the Enugu Flying Antelopes 6 points for the home and away game, going by CAF rule. The Sporting Club Do Principe will likely face further sanctions from CAF for failing to turn up for the match.
With this development, the Enugu Antelope has qualified for the next stage of the competition. The club is playing the league for the first time in 30 years.
Rangers players later entertained thousands of supporters in a friendly which lasted for about 60 minutes.
