Bwari residents to experience water shortage as FCT fixes damaged pipes

The Federal Capital Territory Administration said the FCT Water Board has discovered a pipe burst on its major trunk that supplies water to Ushafa, in Bwari Area Council.

This is contained in a statement issued in Abuja on Thursday by Mr Mohammed Sule, FCT Chief Press Secretary.

It stated that Mr John Chukwu, FCT Permanent Secretary, has subsequently directed immediate repairs on the affected areas to ensure continuous supply of clean water to the residents of the territory.

The statement said as a result of the repairs, some parts of the affected area would experience disruption of water supply from July 2 to July 4.

The areas to be affected are Ushafa Army Camp, Law School, JAMB Office, Federal Government Girls College, the entire Bwari town and environs.

It conveyed FCT administration’s regrets for the inconveniences the disruption in water supply would cause, residents and advised them residents to store enough water to minimise any hardship.
