Femi Falana, activist lawyer, has explained his role in the rape saga involving celebrity photographer, Busola Dakolo and the Senior Pastor of Commonwealth of Zion Assembly, COZA, Biodun Fatoyinbo.
The human right lawyer explained that he only prevailed on the Inspector-General of Police, Mohammed Adamu, to investigate Dakolo’s complaint.
He said this while responding to speculations that he has taken up Dakolo’s rape case against Fatoyinbo.
In a text massage to Vanguard yesterday, Falana wrote: “Timi and Mrs Busola Dakolo wrote their petition before contacting us. When they met us, they expressed the fear that their petition might not be investigated. We intervened by requesting the police authorities to investigate the complaint. The IG has already granted the request.”
Busola had few weeks ago disclosed details of how Fatoyinbo allegedly raped her when she was young.
Fatoyinbo, however, denied the allegation, saying he has never forced himself on any woman in his life.
Just last week, Busola’s husband and popular musician, Timi Dakolo had cries out that their lives were in danger, following the rape allegations against the COZA pastor.
