President Muhammadu Buhari yesterday met with Zamfara State Governor, Abdulaziz Yari.
The meeting was over the killing of about 40 persons at a gold mine in Bindim, Maru Local Government Area of the state late Monday night.
The meeting, held inside the president’s office at the Aso Rock Presidential Villa in Abuja.
Yari later confirmed the purpose of his visit in a brief chat with State House correspondents.
He said he discussed state of security and tension the killings had generated in Zamfara.
“That (the killing) was what I discussed with the President,” the governor added.
