A former Minister of Information and Culture, Prince Tony Momoh, has warned that the government of Gen Muhammedu Buhari (rtd), will not tolerate corruption.
According to him, any one found guilty of corruption will be jailed.
He said this yesterday during the maiden meeting of the One Voice Nigeria (OVN)-Discourse/Leadership Colloquium.
Momoh hailed the group for aiding the course of the president-elect through the social media, saying its strong presence helped Buhari win.
“We didn’t have money for space in newspaper and to talk in the radio or television station about ourselves.
“If election was to have been conducted in radio and newspapers, we would have lost. But it was the voters that had the say, and they voted for Buhari”, he said.
Momoh described Buhari as a man who does not compromise, urging elected officials to be prepared to follow the footsteps of Buhari.
In his address, National Chairman of OVN, Barr. Yakubu Jimba, stated that members of the group were ardent new media users who engaged in individual campaign for Buhari because of their dissatisfaction with the outcome of the presidential election of 2011.
He called on the president-elect to fix the problem of insecurity and corruption in the country.
