The National Leader of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Bolaji Ahmed Tinubu, has reacted to the outcome of the 2019 presidential election.

President Muhammadu Buhari was on Tuesday night, declared winner of the election, defeating the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar.

Tinubu called on the opposition to accept the result, adding that it was free and fair.

Tinubu spoke at the Campaign Centre of the APC, in Abuja after President Buhari gave his address to party members and Nigerians.

Tinubu said, “There will always be a winner and a loser in an election.

“That is what is being demonstrated in the country today. It is now left for true democrats to accept the outcome of this free and fair process.”

He thanked the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, for the smooth conduct of the election.

He added, “INEC has done its best. They have been excellent in this election and we must congratulate them.”
