Buhari vs Atiku: Ex-nPDP spokesman, Eze reveals who caused PDP’s defeat to APC

A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress, APC, in Rivers State, Chief Eze Chukwuemeka Eze, has revealed who caused the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP’s defeat to the All Progressives Congress, APC, in the 2019 presidential election.

Eze, in a statement to DAILY POST, also hailed the APC Presidential Campaign Director-General, Chibuike Amaechi, for leading the APC to another victory.

He noted that the Nigerian masses have decided to revalidate President Buhari’s leadership.

Eze, who authored the book: “Atiku: From Obscurity to Limelight”, and who was the National Director of Publicity and Public Administration of the Turaki Vanguard, also counselled the PDP presidential candidate to be wary of the antics of the National Chairman of his party, Prince Uche Secondus, whom he said would never give any sincere and truthful advise, especially when such advise will not earn him any pecuniary gains.

Accusing Secondus of having caused PDP’s defeat, Eze described Prince Secondus as a political jobber, whose pocket matters more than the future and greatness of Nigeria.

Eze, erstwhile National Publicity Secretary of the defunct New PDP, however, wondered how those promoting PDP thought Nigerians would forget so soon how the party squandered and looted the nation’s common patrimony with impunity for over sixteen years, without anything tangible to show for it, to think of reclaiming power so soon thinking that Nigerians are fools.

The statement added, “I am not shocked of the awful performance of PDP in this general election when key actors of the party were among those that looted the treasury of this nation as if the nation is their family investment. With the threat to sell off NNPC and granting of amnesty to those that have looted this nation, it would have been absurd to elect such a party to preside over our nation’s economy.

“For Prince Uche Secondus to announce publicly the rejection of an election fully acknowledged and commended by both European and United States’ monitors is to state that PDP has become very bad losers. Atiku should not allow these misguided PDP leaders to use him as a tool to scuttle an election that can be described as one of the most fair and transparent election ever conducted in Nigeria.

“In this regard, I join other patriotic Nigerians to plead with the PDP presidential candidate to phone President Buhari and congratulate him as a matter of urgency for a well deserved victory so that the international community can give us credit for practicing a proper democracy, where the interest of the nation’ comes first.

“What this election has brought to the fore is that Nigerians have come to terms with the patriotic policies and programs of the administration of President Buhari and are ready to stick with the party for more years to come”, he said.

Eze who described Amaechi as an enigma, amazing and visionary leader who have once again added another great feather to his overcrowded cap by leading APC to a great victory and proved wrong those that thought that APC will be grounded this time around.

He congratulated President Buhari for a well deserved victory and urged him to run a better administration, where every section of the nation is carried along accordingly.

Eze expressed hope that the next four years will usher in the foundation of building the type of Nigeria we all have been praying for as majority of the National Assembly members so far elected are all APC so this time around we will have no excuse not to deliver as we shall have all our anti corruption laws passed and other relevant laws that will make the administration take Nigeria to the next level.

He also expressed appreciation, both to the international and local electoral observers for assisting the INEC to give hope to Nigerians and the outside world “that we are on the path of greatness as a nation.

“Nigerians need to be commended and congratulated for having faith in the APC administration and they can be assured that the revolution that the administration of President Buhari has ignited will be taken to the next level for the next four years”, he said.
