The wife of Nigeria President, Hajia Aisha Buhari, has said those who did nothing for the emergence of her husband, Muhammadu Buhari, as President are now in power.
Aisha Buhari stated this in an interview with the Hausa Service of the BBC, aired on Tuesday.
She said: “This worries us a lot now, because some believe they are the ones who suffered, but are no where today.
“Those who didn’t do anything, who don’t even have voters’ cards are the ones in position, doing everything.
“What I am afraid for is the rebellion of 15 million people.”
Asked if President Buhari knows those causing the problems for his government, Aisha replied: “Whether he knows or he doesn’t know, those who voted for him know.
“There is nothing I will tell him. He can see.
“Among all the people he selected, if he is asked among 50 people, he doesn’t know 45.
“I don’t know them despite staying with him for 25 years.”
Meanwhile, Aisha Buhari, has called on governments at all levels to put in place frameworks that would enhance the development and empowerment of Nigerian women.
