Vice President, Yemi Osinbajo has said the Federal Government is still negotiating for the release of the remaining Chibok girls abducted by Boko Haram.

Osinbajo stated this on Tuesday evening, at an interaction with journalists and activists at the State House in Abuja.

He expressed hope that the negotiations would yield the desired results.

“There is a lot of negotiation going on,” Osinbajo said.

The Vice President hinted that the existence of two Boko Haram factions was not making the dialogue easy for the FG, as each faction was holding on to some of the girls.

Osinbajo promised that President Muhammadu Buhari’s administration, was committed to the freedom of the girls.

“It is a matter of conscience and it’s a matter that concerns everyone,” he said.
