Buhari sacks AMCON management, names Enterprise Bank boss Ahmed Kuru as MD

President Muhammadu Buhari on Tuesday dissolved the Executive Management Team of the Assets Management Corporation of Nigeria (AMCON).

He has appointed Mr. Ahmed Lawan Kuru as the Managing Director.

Until his appointment, Kuru was the Group Managing Director of Enterprise Bank Limited.

He started his banking career with the old Habib Bank in 1985 and rose through the ranks to become an Executive Director of Bank PHB which was renamed Keystone Bank in 2005.

Buhari also appointed three new Executive Directors for AMCON.

They are Mr. Kola Ayeye, Mr. Eberechukwu Uneze, and Mr. Aminu Ismail.

All appointments are effective immediately.
