Buhari’s victory: Yero visits injured jubilant supporters, to pay hospital bills

Kaduna State Governor, Mukhtar Ramalan Yero has visited those injured during jubilation over victory of the President-elect, General Muhammadu Buhari.

The Governor had earlier directed that those injured during jubilation across the state should be treated free in state hospitals, while condoling with families of those that lost their lives in the incidences.

Yero on Sunday also visited the Ahmadu Bello University Teaching Hospital (ABUTH), Zaria where 26 persons injured during the celebrations were on admission for various degrees of injuries.

Conducting Yero and his entourage round the wards, Chairman Medical Advisory Committee (CMAC) of the hospital, Professor Abdullahi Mohammed said of the number admitted at the hospital, 12 persons had been discharged while the remaining 14 were still receiving treatment.

Yero informed the hospital that the State Government will pay all bills.

He called on people in the State to continue to live peacefully with one another irrespective of their perceived political and religious differences.
