Buhari’s ill-health: Ijaw group threatens to occupy NASS, ASO Villa if president fails to res

A group under the aegies of Ijaw People Development Initiative, IPDI on Tuesday August 8 threatened to occupy the National Assembly(Senate& House of Representatives) and the Aso Rock Villa in Abuja if the lawmakers fails to begin the process of impeachment on President Muhammadu Muhammadu Buhari, DAILY POST is reporting.

IPDI National President, Comrade Austin Ozobo handed down the threat during a chat with DAILY POST at the Nigeria Union of Journalists,NUJ Warri Correspondents’ Chapel.

“We will go to the streets or we will go to the National Assembly or to the Aso Villa to block it if they fail to begin the process of impeaching the President,” he said.

Ozobo stated that Nigeria cannot be ruled by an incapacitated president who allegedly wasted the country’s resources on health grounds in foreign lands.

He stressed that because of politics, some persons were using the president’s health as a means for personal gains.

Ozobo emphasized that the process for his impeachment should be initiated for Acting President, Yemi Osinbanjo to take over as the next president.

“There’s no two ways about it. So, senate president cannot be president on this ground. The Vice President is coming in as president of this country.”

Ozobo also threw his weight behind popular Nigerian musician, Charlyboy who protested at Abuja calling for the resumption or resignation of President Muhammadu Buhari yesterday.

In his words,” Charly Boy is in order. What he did is lawful and we are in support of it. It shouldn’t be only Charlyboy, every reasonable or every well meaning Nigerian should embark on this because we hope to achieve something.”
