President Muhammadu Buhari’s Personal Assistant on New Media, Bashir Ahmed has reacted to the resignation of 252 special advisers and assistants to Sokoto State Governor, Aminu Waziri Tambuwal.

DAILYPOST had earlier reported that two hundred and fifty-two special advisers and special assistants appointed under Governor Aminu Waziri Tambuwal’s administration in Sokoto State on Sunday resigned from their positions.

The concerned aides said their resignation was informed by the recent decision of the Sokoto State Governor to dump the All Progressives Congress, the party which they are bona fide members in the state.

However reacting, Bashir on Twitter described their resignation as a ‘political earthquake.

He wrote, “A political earthquake in Sokoto as 252 Gov. Tambuwal aides abandon jobs and return to APC.

“Our appointment is based on the position that APC is the political party governing the state and now that its belongs to PDP, we’ve no option other than to resign, one of the aides says.”
