President Muhammadu Buhari’s aide on anti-Corruption, Okon Obla, has defended former Pension boss, Abdulrasheed Maina who is involved in a pension scam debacle.
Speaking in a video shared by Patriot, Obla said there was no charge against Maina who was dismissed and reportedly declared wanted by the previous administration.
He said he was not aware of any court in Nigeria proving establishing allegations of corruption on Maina, adding that the call to arrest and prosecute the ex-pension boss should not arise.
He said, “I do not know if a court of competent jurisdiction have found Maina guilty of any offence.
“If he has not been found guilty of any offence, I do not see why some people are enraged by his purported recall into the federal workforce.
“So, are you sure there is a charge against this man?”
