President Muhammadu Buhari, Thursday night, hosted South West Caucus of the All Progressives Congress (APC) to a dinner.
The meeting held at the First Lady Conference hall, Presidential Villa, Abuja.
It deliberated on the forthcoming Osun State governorship election slated for September 22 as well as other issues in the region.
Gboyega Oyetola, the APC gubernatorial candidate, was officially presented to the President.
In attendance were Vice-President, Yemi Osinbajo, APC national leader, Bola Tinubu, South West APC NEC and NWC members as well as Governors of Osun (Rauf Aregbesola), Ondo (Rotimi Akeredolu) Oyo (Abiola Ajimobi) and Kano (Abdullahi Ganduje).
Meanwhile, national chairman of APC, Comrade Adams Oshiohmole, has inaugurated a 63-member national campaign council for the Osun governorship election.
The council is being headed by Governor Ganduje.
