Buhari loses in Lamido’s village as INEC reschedules election in four polling units

The former Governor of Jigawa State, Alh Sule Lamido, has won his polling Unit at Bamaina C in Birnin Kudu local government for the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP.

The presidential candidate of the PDP, Atiku Abubakar, polled 259, while President Muhammadu Buhari scored 20 votes.

For the House of Representatives, the result showed that PDP got 267 votes while APC got only 17 votes.

The senatorial result showed that the son of former governor Mustapha Sule Lamido also floored the serving Senator Sabo Nakudu with 287 while APC scored six votes only.

Meanwhile, the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, has also rescheduled elections in four polling units in Gwaram and Fagam.

The election was rescheduled today due to failure of card readers in the polling units.

The units include; Dubau 624 polling unit in Gwaram ward,Kofar Fada/kukaiwa 030,Kofar Fada/Shafata 033 and K/unguwa/Roso 020 in Fagam local government.

The state INEC residential commissioner, Muhammad Isah, confirmed that the election was postponed because of card readers malfunctions.
