The acting National Publicity Secretary of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Mr Timi Frank, has called on people of the Niger Delta region to support President Muhammadu Buhari in his efforts towards rebuilding the nation, stressing that the President is currently doing what his predecessor, Goodluck Jonathan could not do for six years.
In a statement he personally signed yesterday, Frank applauded the President for the approval and composition of a 13-member Governing Council and 10-member Board of Trustees for the cleanup of Ogoniland in Rivers State.
The APC’s acting spokesman also urged militants in the oil rich region to lay down their arms and give Buhari a chance to deliver on his promises to the region.
He also appealed to leaders in the region to take advantage of “a sincere president like Buhari who has started doing for the region what their son, former president Goodluck Jonathan, could not do for six years as president.”
