The Ogun State Governor, Ibekunle Amosun, has urged Nigerians to be patient with the current All Progressives Congress, APC-led government, saying the challenges the party met on ground was bigger than what was being portrayed.
Addressing reporters in Kaduna, the Ogun State Governor expressed optimism that the government would turn around Nigeria’s dire economic predicament.
He said, “The issue is that the problems we met on ground are far more than what we are portraying to Nigerians.
“Irrespective of these challenges, however, we are determined, we are challenged, we are ready and we are equal to the task. Yes we have challenges, but the challenges are not insurmountable. We are already on the right track but we need to do more.”
Amosun called for patience, saying the APC government needed time to fix the challenges it inherited.
“You cannot expect something that has been bad for ages to be resolved under one or two years, and that is exactly what has been happening,” he said.
Stressing that APC’s change will be felt within the next 12 to 24 months, he said, “By then, we would have improved in power, we would have improved even in service delivery.”
