Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly, Mudashiru Obasa, has blamed the immediate past President, Goodluck Jonathan’s administration for the current plight of the abducted Chibok girls.

Obasa said the current administration inherited the challenges of rescuing the Chibok girls because the previous administration refused to do anything to recover the girls.

Recall that over 200 girls were abducted in Chibok community of Borno State two years ago by Boko Haram insurgents.

Addressing the state lawmakers, Obasa also urged the President Muhammadu Buhari’s administration to do more to rescue the girls.

Obasa said, “We want to call on President Muhammadu Buhari to help find the girls.

“We read that Boko Haram members once demanded a huge amount of money to free the girls. The girls are our future leaders, so the Federal Government should search for them to restore the confidence of Nigerians in the system.”
