President Muhammadu Buhari on Wednesday arrived his hometown of Daura in Kastina state for Eid-el-Kabir.
Thousands of people thronged the Daura airstrip to welcome him.
An Airforce helicopter conveyed the president and members of his immediate family.
The president was received by Katsina state governor, Aminu Masari, Emir of Daura, Alhaji Umar Farouk, politicians among others.
Buhari looked much radiant and smiled as he waved to the mammoth crowd.
The president returns to his hometown for the first time in many months.
He was away in London for 104 days on medical vacation.
