President Muhammadu Buhari on Friday decorated seven personnel of the Nigerian Army and Nigerian Air Force with medals for their gallantry in the fight against insurgency in the North Eastern part of the country.
It was learnt that the soldiers honoured by the President have been on the battle field since the inception of the fight against Boko Haram.
Decorating the officers at the Yola International Airport in Adamawa, Buhari charged them to sustain their gallantry.
Buhari who averred that the federal government would act bravery at all times, urged the officers to take the job of liberating the country from insurgency with utmost seriousness.
Two Army officers and an Air Force officer as well as three soldiers who sustained injuries in the fighting against Boko Haram were among those honoured by the President.
Buhari also commended three wounded soldiers, who were brought to the airport on wheelchairs, for putting their lives on the line for the country.
According to the President, the injured soldiers would get adequate medical attention.
