‘Buhari has lost it’ – Sowore reacts to President’s comment on IGP losing weight o

The former Presidential candidate of the African Action Congress, AAC, Omoyele Sowore has reacted to the controversial statement by President Muhammadu Buhari on Inspector-General of Police, Mohammed Adamu, losing weight because he was working hard to ensure security in the country.

Buhari said this when asked about security challenges across Nigeria and if there would be a different approach in tackling the issue.

He was quoted saying: “I have just seen the IG, I think he’s losing weight, so I think he is working very hard.”

Buhari’s statement did not go down well with many Nigerians and has since stirred reactions online.

Reacting, Sowore criticised President Buhari for his comments at a period when the increasing heat of insecurity was being felt all over the country.

On his official Twitter page, he wrote: “I think the President has lost it.

“His reaction is at variance with the gravity of the insecurity in the country.”
