Buhari: Dankwambo using Gombe money to fund protests – APC

The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Gombe State on Tuesday alleged that Governor Ibrahim Hassan Dankwambo, was financing the anti-Buhari protests.

The interim state secretary, Kassim Bello Maigari, told newsmen that Dankwambo was showing his desperation and overzealousness for the presidency.

He said: “I will not call it allegation because the protesters have confirmed that they were being paid to do the protest against President Buhari.

“This is even with the fact that the president has not breached the Nigerian constitution. This clearly shows that their mumu don start.”

Gombe APC described Dankwambo’s alleged involvement in the protests as unpatriotic and lacking focus.

The party advised the governor to focus his attention on developing his state “which has been a headache for him since assuming office over six years ago rather than aiming at a higher position”.

Meanwhile, organisers of the#ResumeOrResign protests have denied allegations of being sponsored by Dankwambo and former Ondo state governor, Olusegun Mimiko.
