President Muhammadu Buhari late Wednesday night met with the leadership of the All Progressives Congress (APC) at the Presidential Villa in Abuja.
The closed-door meeting held inside the First Lady’s Conference Room.
The meeting, it was gathered, deliberated on the 2016 budget.
The presence of leadership of the national assembly also confirms that the final version of the budget was either presented or would be presented today as earlier hinted by Minister of State for Budget and National Planning, Zainab Ahmed.
In attendance were Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, APC National Chairman John Odigie-Oyegun, Senate President Bukola Saraki, House of Representatives Speaker Yakubu Dogara, Secretary to the Government of the Federation Babachir David Lawal, Senate Leader Mohammed Ali Ndume, APC Deputy National Chairman (South) Segun Oni and APC Deputy National Chairman (North) Lawani Shuaibu.
Others were the chairman of the Nigeria Governors’ Forum Alhaji Abdulaziz Yari of Zamfara State, Imo State Governor Rochas Okorocha, former Minister of Information Chief Tony Momoh, Minister of Science and Technology Chief Ogbonaya Onu, Minister of Agriculture Chief Audu Ogbeh, among others.
