The Presidential Candidate of the All Progressive Congress, Gen. Muhammudu Buhari, has been nicknamed “Okechukwu” following his campaign on Monday at the Dan Anyiam stadium in Owerri, Imo state.

Rochas Okorocha ,Governor of Imo State, described Gen. Buhari as the General’s General, with zero tolerance for corruption. He went ahead to nickname the APC presidential candidate as “Okechukwu” meaning God’s portion in the local Igbo language.

While praying for the soul of the PDP, the Governorship candidate for the APC said, “May the soul of PDP rest in peace. May they never rise again.”

Those who participated in the rally include; Senator Chris Ngige, Buhari’s campaign director and Governor of Rivers State, Rotimi Amaechi; a National Leader of the party and former Abia State Governor, Ogbonnaya Onu.

Speaking to party supporters at the stadium, Buhari said it was his first time in Imo State, urging the crowd to vote APC at all levels.

Buhari pointed out the ills of the present administration, including the collapse of the naira, encouraging the crowd to vote out PDP.

“It is in our interest individually and collectively to vote PDP out,” he said.
