BUA Group workers lay seige at Head Office in Lagos [PHOTO]

There was a protest on  Wednesday at the head office of leading Nigerian conglomerate, BUA Group.

Our correspondent, who was around the BUA Group building located at 64, Adetokunbo Ademola in Victoria Island, observed workers of the company in dozens chanting solidarity songs and vowing not to leave.

Carrying placards, the workers alleged the company was owing them, and treating their legitimate demands with impunity as if they were slaves.

They are also demanding the sack of some senior staff, who according to them were sitting on their monies.

Some of the placards read “Jail Dotun Adako and Chima for fraud”, “Pay 10% salary increase now,” “Our demand is not negotiable,” “BUA, fulfill our agreement now!”

BUA Group is owned by billionaire, Alhaji Abdulsamad Rabiu.

Meanwhile, policemen have been mobilized to the scene of the protest and are doing everything possible to disperse the protesters.

DAILY POST is yet to receive any official reaction from the management as at press time.
