The Senator representing Ondo State Senatorial District at the National Assembly, Senator Ajayi Boroffice today got a returning ticket under the platform of All Progressives Congress (APC).
Boroffice, who contested the party primary with Dr. K.S Shaba, the incumbent House of Representatives lawmaker from Akoko North East/West, Ganny Dauda and Nathaniel Adojutelegan polled 1,460 votes.
Others contests like Shaba scored 31 votes, Dauda 569 and Adojutelegan got 139 votes.
Also, in Ondo South senatorial district, a legal practitioner, Morayo Lebi has been elected as the candidate of the party with 1261 votes, while the other contestant Femi Akingbola had 152 votes.
In the Central Senatorial district, it was keen contest between the House of Representative lawmaker, representing Akure South/North, Hon. Ifedayo Abegunde and former State Commissioner for Finance, Chief Tayo Alasoadura.
Alsoadura, who was the Director General of Rotimi Akeredolu’s campaign organization during the 2012 governorship election, scored 811 votes, while Abegunde scored 771 votes.
In the contest, about 105 votes were void.
