“Wakil told the management that the Emir of Biu Alhaji Mustapha Aliyu had given assurance of safety for the personnel of the company in Biu as well as commitment that the residents will fulfill their obligations of paying their bills once power is restored.

“The minister who appreciated the company for operating in spite of the difficult circumstances in the North East assured the management that the leaders and youth of Biu have resolved to create and sustain positive operating environment for the company,” Rasheed said.

He quoted Wakil as saying: “We appreciate your difficult operating environment. We accept there are challenges. But the issues are resolved now. Your men are safe. I have assurances of leaders of the community.
