Boko Haram sect this morning bombed a crowded market in Maiduguri, the Borno State capital.
The market is located close to a Power Holding Company of Nigeria building.
The number of casualty is expected to be high due to high human movement in the area.
Today’s bombing, on the first day of the second half of the year, is the first major bombing by Boko Haram since the beginning of Ramadan.A Borno state government official confirmed the blast to Sahara Reporters, saying the causality number may be high.
He added that security agencies were working to secure the area and rescue victims.
