The Defence Headquarters (DHQ) says it has no knowledge of the arrest of Ahmed Salkida, a journalist declared wanted by the military over alleged connections to Boko Haram militants.
The Defence spokesman, Brigadier General, Rabe Abubakar made the confirmation to Daily Trust.
The Nigerian journalist was picked on Monday at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport.
It was gathered that Salkida was arrested by security forces from the door of the Emirates Flight EK785 aircraft that brought him to Abuja.
Salkida was declared wanted by the army alongside two others after a recent release of a video showing abducted Chibok schoolgirls in custody of Boko Haram.
