The Borno State police command, Tuesday, confirmed the foiling of attack by heavily armed Boko Haram terrorists in Gajiram town, headquarters of Nganzai LGA.
DAILY POST gathered that the terrorists came in 11 trucks.
The comand in a statement by its spokesman, DSP Edet Okon said, “Police personnel deployed to the area, alongside troops of the Nigerian Military engaged the terrorists and promptly repelled the attack.
“There was no casualty on the side of the police.”
He said that reinforcement had been mobilised to the town.
There was no statement yet from the military on casualty on their side or the number of terrorists neutralised.
The police, however, said further development would be communicated to the media in due course.
