Boko Haram: Suicide bombers hit Maiduguri

Two suicide bombers on Sunday detonated improvise explosives devises strapped to their body, killing themselves and injuring some members of the civilian joint task force, CJTF.

The incident occurred at the entrance of Muna Garage in Maiduguri, a member of the CJTF, Audu Ba’aba told DAILY POST.

The bomb explosions, which occurred at about 8.20pm Sunday created panic in the area and around the metropolis as residents began calling each other to ascertain their safety.

Commissioner of Police, Borno Command, Damian Chukwu, who also confirmed the incident said, “There are some bomb blasts this night and our men are already at the scene.”

Although no detail was made available at the time of report, the Police authority promised to keep the media abreast of whatever took place at the said area.

It could be recalled that, activities of the insurgents, which seemed to have been going low recently went violent with attacks on military convoy.
