Boko Haram: Six NNPC staff rescued by Nigerian Army [PHOTO]

Images of 6 members of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation, NNPC, staff who were rescued from the clutches of Boko Haram insurgents have surfaced online.

The Army confirmed yesterday that some of the kidnapped persons have been rescued.

The abduction of the workers, who were part of the oil exploration team in northeast Nigeria, was confirmed on Wednesday by NNPC.

They were ambushed on Tuesday after a gun duel between sect members, security agents and CJTF members.

Some of the staff were, however killed as family members of some of the victims confirmed to DAILY POST Correspondent, Thursday morning.
