Speaking during the occasion on Thursday, Special Assistant to the President on political matters, Gideon N. Samani said, “today we are happy to commission the project under a peaceful atmosphere. Let me seize this opportunity to request that the immediate beneficiaries of these projects reciprocate Federal Government effort by being law abiding, making good use of the facilities and machines given to them free of charge.

“it is my belief and indeed most of us here that, very soon, we shall see the return of fishing and dry season farming activities in these Local Government Areas.”

He explained that, “the project was carried out by combined knowledge, experience and resources of a capable and patriotic Local Contractors (Josmon Technologies Limited) for the benefit of our farmers and Fishermen in the area”.

PINE according to him was established to invigorate the economy of the North East by mobilizing target resources to provide assistance to communities adversely affected by the Boko Haram insurgency.
