Boko Haram: NSCDC hands over 6 repentant Boko Haram to Army in Borno

The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, NSCDC said, the command in Maiduguri would be handing over six ( 6) repentant BHT in its custody to the Nigerian military.

The Commandant, Abdullahi Ibrahim, also disclose that additional 40 insurgents were ready and willing to repent and surrender to the Nigerian security forces.

This was contained in a statement signed by Bulus James, the Public Relations Officer of the NSCDC, Borno state command.

Lamenting the ongoing insurgent situation in the state, the Commandant said it is committed to key into the Operation Safe Corridor embarked upon by the Nigerian Army in the North East.

He explained that, in an insurgent situation, “The civilian were caught between the devil and deep blue sea” at the heat of the crisis and as such, NSCDC is keying into the Operation Safe Corridor embarked upon by Nigerian Army in order to deradicalize the repentant Boko Haram terrorists.
