Troops from Niger Republic are currently battling Boko Haram insurgents in Abadan local government area of Borno state.
Locals from the area told DAILY POST that their relations in Bosso town of Niger informed them that there is an ongoing battle in Abadan with the Nigerien troops.
According to Abubakar Mohammed, an official of Abadam council who is taking refuge in Maiduguri, the report he received from Bosso is that so many Boko Haram terrorists who returned to Abadan from the lake chad area were killed when they were engaged by the troops from Niger.
He said, “No one can confirm for now how many of the Boko Haram insurgents or Soldiers that have been killed.”
