The Yobe State government has reviewed the curfew imposed on Damaturu, the state capital following the attack by the Boko Haram sect penultimate week.
The state governor, Alhaji Ibrahim Gaidam slammed a 24 hours curfew on the town, but after the expiration of the first 24-hours, he had reviewed it to between 6:00pm and 7:00am daily.
Gaidam, in a statement by his Special Adviser on Press Affairs and Information, Mallam Abdullahi Bego, said the curfew had further been reviewed to between 8:00pm and 6:00am daily.
The statement reads in part: “From today Monday 15th December 2014, the curfew will begin from 8.00pm to 7.00am daily. Until now, the curfew used to be between 6.00pm and 7.00am daily”.
