At least four people have been confirmed dead while several others were injured following Boko Haram attack at Amarwa villages along Maiduguri, Konduga road, DAILY POST learnt.
Amb. Ahemed Shehu, of the Civil Liberties Organization, who was in contact with the village head, disclosed this on Sunday, in a text message to journalists in Maiduguri.
According to Shehu, “Boko Haram burnt down to ashes another village unit of Wanori, AMARWA village yesterday at about 10.00pm, till 11.30pm as reported by those in the village.”
Amarwa village is less than 100 metres away from the military check point, along the Maiduguri-Konduga Road by the radio tower of the Borno Radio Television (BRTV).
“Four people have been confirmed killed in the incident and several others have been taken to the hospital this morning,” he added.
There is no confirmation from the security operatives on the attack yet.
