Multiple explosions rocked Dalori area of Maiduguri, the Borno State capital, Sunday night. Residents of the area told DAILY POST that military vehicles conveying soldiers for reinforcement were seen heading towards Kofa village, near Dalori.
Hospital sources said Boko Haram fighters earlier ambushed and attacked soldiers along Maiduguri-Biu road.
They disclosed that corpses of three soldiers were brought to the University of Maiduguri Teaching Hospital.
According to sources from Kofa village, the Boko Haram fighters had killed 8 and injured 30 in multiple suicide attacks.
“There is ongoing heavy exchange of fire and soldiers moving towards Dalori.
“I was told that the Boko Haram militants have overrun Kofa village in their usual manner of attack, killing people and burning their houses”, a resident told our correspondent.
