Report from Maiduguri, the Borno state capital says large explosion was heard at about 8:30pm last night, which put some people to run around Damboa road axis.
According to the report, the blast was an attack on the military as Boko Haram ambushed troops at Damboa axis and went away with two hilux vehicles. Although the military did not confirm any incident despite calls by newsmen, it was gathered that Boko Haram executed their ambush between Maiduguri and Damboa local government area of the state.
A security source who is not authorise to speak to the press said, ”there was an attack last night and two hilux vehicles were taken.”
Passenger inside vehicles, that took the route this morning also confirmed that there was an attack yesterday, but could not provide details of the incident.
” The incident took place in the night between soldiers and Boko Haram. We only saw a lot of bullets on the road and more presence of soldiers along the road,” A driver told DAILY POST in Maiduguri.
