Pan-Yoruba socio-cultural group, Afenifere has slammed Zamfara State governor, Abdulaziz Yari over recent attack on the State, which left 41 dead.
National Publicity Secretary of the group, Yinka Odumakin, in a short statement accused the governor of laxity.
Odumakin further compared Gov. Yari’s visit to Daura to Buhari’s refusal to visit Benue victims after burial of 73 people.
Asked on Gov Yari response to the killings, he told Punch, “If you remember, it was the day after the burial of 73 people in Benue that the Zamfara governor and his colleagues went to endorse Buhari for a second term.
“It may appear that the blood of Nigerians is the carpet for their coronation.
“The President did not deem it fit to go to Benue where 73 people were killed on New Year’s Day, instead he went to Nasarawa where cows were killed. So, you can put two and two together.
“The apple of the governor is not falling far from the tree.”
